Are you kidding me? Going Green Never Felt This Damn Good!
Wilderness Athlete products are built with the assistance of leading nutrition scientists from all over the world!
We voluntarily subject ourselves to the authenticity of human nature as hunters We choose to do this to chase within ourselves something we cannot always put our finger on. Regardless of why we hunt, preparing for the season takes a base of mental and physical preparation. Building a base takes consistent effort, repetition and commitment to your goal. This past year has been a the systematic manufacturing of a physical and mental fortress in my own life to once again voluntarily be subject to the testing of elk country. In doing so I sought help through supplements from Wilderness Athlete.
Right off the bat, Founder Mark Paulsen is the kind of guy who wants to see people succeed and reach their goals more than anything. His commitment to helping other prepare I could feel through the informational videos on the WA website, and in a few phone conversations.
Wilderness Athlete products are built with the assistance of leading nutrition scientists from all over the world and athletic backgrounds. While the cycle of physical preparation doesn't end, I decided to base my highlights on two products I’ve come to thoroughly enjoy incorporating into my daily routine, which are easy and beneficial even if you are not into weight lifting or running. Green Fusion and Energy & Focus.
ENERGY AND FOCUS
At first glance my brother dismissed this powder for just another “speed mix” based in essentially junk ingredients. With the general energy drink mixes in today’s market, can’t say I blame them. Watching the Information video on Energy & Focus, Paulsen makes good points about what we put in our bodies via coffee and energy drink. They leave an acidic environment in your system. I will admit, coffee is a bit of a vice for me and sometimes keep a steady flow of the liquid gold running until the afternoon depending on the day. Who hasn’t? But in those particular days, my stomach feels unbalanced, and with high amounts of coffee or other drinks comes the dreaded afternoon crash.
I began using Energy & Focus for my mid afternoon boost and have come to rely on this for steady energy to help push through late night of writing. So what makes this a “No Crash” formula while supporting the body with nutrients? The back of the bottle says it is not made with simple sugars for a true no crash formula. What does this mean? It means Energy & Focus, does not fill your system will ingredients which will cause your body to quickly process the material leaving you hungry and weary when it wears off. The complex structure of the ingredients supports a sustained blood sugar level without taking you on the roller coaster ride other drinks take you on. Energy & Focus also contains key vitamin levels of C, E and carotenes for their anti-oxidant powers. Needless to say, I am bringing this drink mix to elk camp next month.
Green Infusion has been my next go-to item from the Wildness Athlete line. No secret, we do not get the fruits and vegetables we really require from a daily diet. Like I said earlier, if you are not an exercise freak like others, Wilderness Athlete still has something to help in your preparation. Greens Infusion is the equivalent to six serving of daily fruit and vegetables which supports many facets of your overall health. Supergreens, Superveggies, Superfruits, Herbal Blends and Probiotics make up the contents of this bottle. Concentrated nutrients of Green Infusion provide immune system and cardiovascular support through vitamin E and phytonutrients. What are phytonutrients? Phytonutrients are natural chemicals derived from fruits and vegetables which promote a healthy internal environment since they act as anti-oxidants, fighting dangerous free radicals. I add a scoop to my breakfast smoothies every morning, and the taste compliments other ingredients in the blender. This is a small yet powerful step towards building for future hunts.
Finding what works for your body and laying the stones in place to build a foundation you are comfortable with, going into your hunts is uniquely yours. Life is short, and if you are like me, you want to squeeze the most out of each experience, and in order to do so, a strong mind and body help unlock the full potential of each adventure. Incorporating these two supplement powders into my daily routine are just a small and easy part of building towards future filled freezers.
